I. Evaluation criteria includes these standards:
     A. Demonstrates Competence in the Teaching/Learning Process:
         Communicates subject matter clearly, correctly, effectively, and accurately.
         Provides clear assignments or directives to students.
         Shows effective organization and planning for the course.
         Prepares comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date syllabi, and communicates them to students.
         Keeps students informed of their progress in a regular, relevant, and timely manner.
         Maintains order in classroom.
         Provides relevant out-of-class learning activities.
         Evaluates student progress accurately, objectively, and in a relevant and timely manner.
         Provides opportunities for student participation in the teaching/learning process.
         Promotes cultural diversity in the classroom.
         Relates course material to other areas where appropriate.
         Demonstrates openness to student questions; handles student disagreements fairly.
     B. Demonstrates Concern for Student Success:
         Accommodates students with special needs and different learning styles.
         Treats students with dignity, respect, and courtesy in a professional manner.
         Is available to students to discuss their progress in the class and other issues and to discuss career opportunities in the faculty member's assigned field.

         Maintains and fosters classroom environment free of harassment, prejudice, bias, and discrimination.
