Crystal Gillihan

Crystal began her nursing career in 2001, when she graduated from Ozarka College in Melbourne, Arkansas as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She continued her education and graduated with her Associates Degree from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville in 2001 with top academic honors. Crystal received her Bachelors of Nursing Degree in 2006 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed her Master of Health Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2008. Crystal is currently a full time student in the Doctoral program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science with a focus in Nursing Administration and Nursing Education.

Crystal began her educational career in 2006 working as an adjunct clinical instructor for Ozarka College and teaching nursing prerequisite courses. Crystal then became the program coordinator for an 11 month practical nursing program for Ozarka College. Crystal’s nursing back ground includes Medical Surgical, Intensive Care, Emergency Department and Nursing Leadership. Crystal has worked as an Assistant Director of Nursing and as a Director of Nursing for the acute care and long term care setting. Crystal was hired as a full time Theory Instructor and Clinical Liaison for ARNEC in 2011.

Crystal is certified by the American Heart Association as a Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support Instructor. Crystal received the Academic Achievement Award from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville in 2004. In 2006, Crystal received Nurse of Year from Ozarka College.

Crystal is a resident of Mountain View and is the wife of Johnathan Gillihan. Crystal has one step daughter, Marissa Gillihan. Crystal enjoys hunting, fishing and riding ATV’s with her husband.
