Cindy Meyer

Cindy Meyer, MS, OTR/L

Assistant Professor/Academic Fieldwork Coordinator

Mrs. Cindy Meyer is an associate professor and the academic fieldwork coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.  She earned an associate of science degree in occupational therapy assistant from Milwaukee Area Technical College, a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Tennessee-Memphis, and a master of science degree in rehabilitation science-clinical practice management from Texas Tech University Health Science Center.  Currently Cindy Meyer is pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Leadership from Northcentral University.
She holds a license in occupational therapy in Arkansas and a retired license from Tennessee.  She is currently registered as an occupational therapist with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy.  She also holds a retired occupational therapy assistant certification.  Cindy  Meyer has held various state positions in the Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Arkansas state occupational therapy associations, including State Legislative Chair, State Ethics Chair, and District Chair. She was a past editorial advisor for the American Occupational Therapy Association OT Week publication.
Cindy  Meyer worked full time in clinical practice from 1991 until she accepted the teaching position at SouthArk in 2002.  Since 2002, she has worked clinically in various part-time  positions and also supervises clinical experiences of current SouthArk occupational therapy assistant students.  In the clinical practice arena, she has held various administrative and directorship positions.
