The SouthArk Community College Foundation recently received an airplane hangar, located at Goodwin Field, donated by Carroll Blewster. The hangar will be used for instructional purposes in an aviation pilot training program, which will be established in the future, according to Cynthia Reyna, Executive Director of the SouthArk Foundation.
“Thanks to Mr. Blewster’s generous donation, SouthArk will begin to investigate the need for professional career pilot training. The proposed program will also offer noncredit courses for individuals seeking their private pilot certification and instrument rating for personal use” said Dr. Alan Rasco SouthArk president.
Clara Jones, SouthArk Foundation president, expressed appreciation on behalf of the Foundation. “We are honored that Mr. Blewster chose the Foundation as a recipient for this gift. We proudly acknowledge his support for the college’s expansion of instructional programs.”
