“Hands That Formed a Nation,” a documentary with first-hand accounts of World War II from local veterans who experienced it, premiered on November 11, 2014 at the El Dorado Conference Center on the campus of South Arkansas Community College.

 

The college’s performance and media arts program produced the film with stories from more than a dozen war vets and others.

 

Those featured were World War II veterans from South Arkansas, including;  Gearold Boyd, N. K. Callaway, George R. Crosley, Jr., Julius Elmore, Edward Dunn, Hubert Glenn, Bill Howard, Ella May Hughes, David James, James Doyle Jones, Earl Phillips, Othar Smith, Jack Turner, and John Wood. SouthArk professor, Suzanne Wache offered post war Germany stories.
