Help with Campus Connect

Campus Connect 

  1. Click the Campus Connect Icon located on the left side of the SouthArk home page
  2. Click the Student Login link
  3. Enter your assigned user name and password
  4. Your student ID is the nine digit number that you are assigned when you are admitted to SouthArk.  You should have a card from the Admissions office that has this number on it
  • Your PIN will be your 8 digit date of birth (include the zero for january-September) followed by your first and last initials
  • If your Student ID and PIN are not accepted, call Chris Sullivant at extension 173 or send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
    If you have not been provided a Student ID number, contact the Admissions office to have your Student ID and PIN entered into the system

Help with Blackboard

BlackBoard

Every SouthArk student receives a BlackBoard account and is automatically enrolled into any sections the faculty have activated as part of the registration process.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR BLACKBOARD ACCOUNT

1.    Open Internet Explorer (or any Internet browser).

2.    Use one of the links on the SouthArk web site or type: http://blackboard.southark.edu in the address bar and then press enter.

3.    Type in username: type your first and last initials and last five digits of your student ID number (no spaces). Example: ds72599

4.    Enter your password. (Your birth date in numerical form and first and last initials in all caps). Example: 01012005DS

You are now in your SouthArk BlackBoard account.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Computer Services at extension 120.  

 

Depending upon your browser settings, you may need to add the SouthArk servers to your list of trusted sites: *.southark.edu
Tools>Internet options>Security>Trusted Sites>Sites
 
Be sure to UNCHECK the Require server verification (https:) box.

Network Files

Did you know that can access your SouthArk network files from home? 

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR NETWORK FILES

1.    Open Internet Explorer (or any Internet browser).

2.    Use one of the links on the SouthArk web site or type: https://nwacadm.acadm.southark.edu/netstorage (lowercase) in the address bar and then press enter.
If you receive a Certificate Error, select the Continue to this website option to ignore the error.

 

3.    Type in user name: type "." then your first and last initials and last five digits of your student ID number (no spaces) and then ".students.acadm.southark". Example: .ds72599.students.southark

4.    Enter your password. (Your birth date in numerical form and first and last initials in all caps). Example: 01012005DS


You can now access any of your network files by clicking of the folders at the left of the screen:


Once you have opened the directory containing your files, use the check boxes to select one or more of your files and then open the file menu to download a copy to your local hard drive.

Did you know that friends and faculty may be trying to contact you using your college e-mail address?

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNT

Open Internet Explorer (or any Internet browser).

Use one of the links on the SouthArk web site or type: http://email.southark.edu (lowercase) in the address bar and then press enter.

Type in user name: your first and last initials (lowercase) and last five digits of your student ID number (no spaces).

Example: ds72599

Enter your password. (Your birth date in numerical form and first and last initials in all caps).

Example: 01012005DS

You are now in Outlook Web Access. You can send and receive email through this account during the time you are enrolled at SouthArk.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Computer Services at extension 120.

Please note that you no longer have to add acadm\ to your user name when logging in. This changed between Spring 07 and Summer 07.
