Entrepreneurship at SouthArk is designed to teach students how to start, develop, finance, manage and harvest new business ventures with high-growth potential.
Students will examine current academic theory and best practices in the field, and will be exposed to successful practicing entrepreneurs. The program serves both those whose long-term plans include self-employment, as well as those who want to explore entrepreneurship to see if they are good candidates for self-employment.
Courses are presented within an active learning environment so that the students may develop the necessary skills to initiate their own ventures, join the family business, or work in entrepreneurial firms—anywhere around the world!
The one-year program provides graduates with a technical certificate in entrepreneurship after 36 hours of coursework. The technical certificate also can be used in combination with other technical course to get the associate of applied science in general technology. This is ideal for would-be entrepreneurs who need to develop a technical skill. Many of the classes are offered on the East Campus for the convenience of those technical- program students who are pursuing the associate's in general technology.Gainful Employment Disclosure
