Job Summary:

Reporting to the Dean of Career and Technical Education, this individual will work within the Industrial Technology program of study as full-time faculty.  The individual will teach various college credit courses within the program including, but not limited to, Fundamentals of Industrial Technology, Industrial Safety, Fundamentals of Electricity and Electronics, Fluid Power, Introduction to PLCs, and Instrumentation. This individual will be responsible for instruction of secondary and postsecondary students.  The individual will assist with curriculum development as needed.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and revise curriculum as needed; Deliver program curriculum to secondary and postsecondary students (day and/or evening); Maintain up-to-date student records; Collaborate with industry partners through program advisory committee; Attend program-related professional development as needed; Perform duties associated with oversight of student interns; Assist with student recruitment; Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

The individual should (1) possess the skills necessary to present program curriculum, (2) be able to operate the program’s industrial equipment, and (3) possess the skills and abilities to utilize programmatic computer software.

 

Required Education and Experience:

Items required include a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or a related field and 3 years’ recent experience in a modern manufacturing environment.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Items preferred include a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or a related field, 5 years’ recent experience in a modern manufacturing environment, and teaching experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

The individual must be able to stand for long periods of time.  The individual must be able to operate all program equipment.  The individual must be able to lift 50 pounds.
