Job Summary:
This position is charged with connecting SNAP E&T recipients with resources in Union and Bradley counties. The SNAP E&T coordinator encourages and motivates participants through employment skills training such as job searching, mock interviews, resume building and the development of basic soft and transferable skills. After developing an employment plan with the student/client the coordinator and client determine actions that are needed to eliminate current or potential barriers prohibiting the client from reaching their full potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes daily tasks in SNAP works such as referrals, appointment scheduling, and offering services to qualifying SNAP recipients
- Completes intake paperwork and provides orientation to clients and follow-up services when applicable.
- Ensures case notes and client files are current
- Connects with existing clients to assess current goals and progress, research potential trainings, and provide resources and employment opportunities.
- Submits reimbursement requests from clients
- Communicates with other coordinators as well as state and local program directors.
- Completes monthly and quarterly reports
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canvas)
- Collaborative skills to connect clients to community resources
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completed CSP (Certified Career Services Provider)
- Working knowledge of Adult Education programs
- Case Management Experience
Travel Requirements:
- Four days per week are based in El Dorado, Arkansas with one day of travel to Warren, Arkansas.
- Local travel to network/collaborate with area organizations
- Monthly meetings in with other Southeast Arkansas coordinators
- Quarterly travel to Little Rock for professional development
Salary/Benefits
- Salary $40,000-$42,000
