South Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time welding instructor position.  The position is daytime, 5 hours per day M-F.  The individual will teach two classes of GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding). 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

NA

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, revise, and deliver welding curriculum

Maintain student records

 

Skills and Abilities:

Possess the knowledge, skill, and ability to teach Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and be able to operate all welding shop equipment.

 

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum four years’ welding experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in Welding Technology

AWS Certification

NCCER welding certification

Physical Requirements:

The Ability to:

Teach, supervise, and interact with welding students

Stand for long periods of time

Lift 50 pounds
