The Counseling Department offers professional counseling services to all students free of charge. Students may report to the Student Services office for counseling services. Once a student has signed in through Who's Next and requested to see the counselor, a notification will be sent, and the counselor will meet with the student promptly.
The Counseling Department offers brief counseling using a cognitive behavioral model. If a student requires more intensive or long-term counseling services, appropriate referrals will be made to local providers within the student's community.
Currently enrolled students are eligible to receive personal, academic, career, and transfer counseling. Group work may be offered in reducing test anxiety, stress management, crisis intervention, or other topics as requested.
There are no fees for these services, and any information students share will be treated in the strictest confidence as allowed by law.
