After putting together a monster sophomore season, SouthArk outfielder Ty Simonelli has been selected as a Division II First-Team All-American by The JBB, a junior-college baseball media company. The Quitman, Louisiana native had a team-high 39 extra-base hits, including a team-best 20 home runs. He led the team in slugging percentage with .872 and on-base percentage with .542. His batting average for the season was .407 and he led the Stars with 62 RBIs. Having completed his juco eligibility, he has committed to continue his baseball career and college journey at NCAA Division I Northwestern State in Nachitoches, Louisiana.

Selected Third Team All-American by The JBB was freshman pitcher Asher Hamilton, a Little Rock native. Hamilton had the best ERA among SouthArk starters, with a 2.35 on 13 starts, 76.2 innings pitched and a 9-3 record. He threw 98 strikeouts. He will return in a Stars uniform next season to complete his juco eligibility.
