South Arkansas College is calling on community members, local businesses, and alumni to support its growing men’s and women’s basketball programs through a new sponsorship initiative designed to directly benefit student-athletes.
The SouthArk Stars Basketball Sponsorship Campaign offers opportunities for donors to make an immediate impact—whether through covering the cost of a single meal or underwriting an entire season of travel for the team.
“Our mission goes beyond building strong athletic programs,” said Athletic Director Jenny Sanders. “We’re developing men and women of character, discipline, and ambition. Many of our athletes are first-generation college students, and community support is crucial to helping them succeed both on and off the court.”
A Tiered Approach to Giving
The sponsorship package features eight tiers, each tied to a specific need of the program:
Team Fan ($10): Provides a meal for one player. Donors receive a thank-you card from the team.
Jersey Backer ($25): Covers the cost of a practice jersey. Sponsors get a social media shoutout.
Road Warrior ($125): Funds a hotel night for four players. Includes mention on a game livestream.
Full Court Partner ($250): Purchases a full game uniform for a player. Donors receive a gym banner placement and a game pass.
Game Night Sponsor ($500): Pays for officials at a home game. Sponsors are featured on the website and receive two game passes.
Scholarship Sponsor ($1,000): Funds a partial scholarship for one athlete. Includes a gym banner and premium social media recognition.
Livestream Leader ($2,500): Sponsors the entire season’s livestream broadcasts. Includes logo placement on streams, a gym banner, and four season passes.
Legacy Partner ($10,000): Underwrites team travel for the season. Donors receive naming rights for media day, two gym banners, VIP access, and four season passes.
Each tier reflects a concrete cost tied to the operational needs of the program, making it clear how donations are used and the impact they have on the lives of student-athletes.
Building a Legacy
“We want our sponsors to feel like true partners,” said Sanders. “This is about investing in the future of our students and our community.”
