Three members of the South Arkansas College SouthArk Stars basketball programs have earned 2025–2026 All-Region honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in Region 2 Division II play, highlighting a strong year for Stars athletics.
Men’s Basketball

Sophomore standout Xavier Myers was named to the NJCAA Region 2 Division II First Team, recognizing him as one of the top players in the region. Myers consistently delivered throughout the season, serving as a key offensive and defensive presence for the Stars. His leadership on the court and ability to perform in critical moments made him a cornerstone of the team’s success.

Teammate Carlos Escalera earned Honorable Mention All-Region recognition. Escalera’s steady contributions and work ethic provided valuable depth and versatility for SouthArk. His commitment to team play and consistent effort were instrumental in the Stars’ competitiveness throughout conference play.
Women’s Basketball

On the women’s side, Kiki Williamson was named to the NJCAA Region 2 Division II Second Team. Williamson emerged as a dynamic force for the Lady Stars, showcasing scoring ability, court awareness, and defensive tenacity. Her impact extended beyond statistics, as she set the tone for competitiveness and resilience each time she stepped onto the floor.
“These honors reflect the dedication and character of our student-athletes,” said athletic director Dr. Jenny Sanders. “Competing in Region 2 is never easy, and for three of our players to be recognized at the regional level speaks volumes about their hard work and the direction of our programs.”
The NJCAA All-Region selections cap off a memorable season for SouthArk basketball and provide strong momentum heading into the offseason as both programs continue building for the future.
