As Events Extra Help, this position is responsible for preparation of venue and assisting in operations of events. The hours for this position vary and may include night or weekend work. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.
Salary: $11 per hour.

Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and other furnishings.
Perform event janitorial duties such as trash removal, bathroom cleaning, floor maintenance, and post-event cleanup.
Provide support with food and catering setup, including delivering ice, plates, food pans, chafing dishes, etc.
Oversee event supervision when regular event security personnel are not required.
Requires event and/or weekend work.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to read and comprehend banquet event orders/floor diagram for set-up instructions.
Must be able to take verbal instructions from the Events Supervisor.
Read and interpret documentation outlining event set-up and facility safety/security policies.
Great customer service skills for occasional direct interactions with clients.
Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma and/or job-related experience.
Prior event set-up experience is preferred.
The position requires the ability to lift 10-50 pounds regularly and to lift greater than 50 pounds infrequently (staging panels). Prolonged hours of standing and/or walking.
