African-American Inventions Scavenger Hunt

Rules of Scavenger Hunt

  • Clues will be sent out starting Tuesday, Feb.15th to all faculty, staff, and students.
  • Faculty cannot participate until the end of the week if there is still inventions that have not been solved or confirmed by the students.
  • In order to win, the student must send a picture of what they believe is the invention based on the clues to my email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  • If the student is correct, I will announce the winner for that particular invention and then move forward to the next one.
  • If no one figures out the invention then it will still be open until all inventions are confirmed and we have winners for each.
  • Have fun with this, you will be able to find these inventions all over the place so be creative and Ready, set, INVENTION!

 

Daisy Bates, First Lady of Little Rock Documentary

*This documentary follows the life of civil rights leader Daisy Bates and her efforts to desegregate the school system of Little Rock, Arkansas in the 1950’s. 

Mrs. Bates was born in Huttig, Arkansas, and local native, Summer Modica, the daughter of our very own Kathy Modica, portrays the young Daisy Bates in the film.
